At FirstCare Medical Center we prescribe suboxone for the treatment of opioid addiction. We accept most insurance plans and uninsured patients.
Suboxone contains a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine is an opioid medication, sometimes called a narcotic. Naloxone blocks the effects of opioid medication, including pain relief or feelings of well-being that can lead to opioid abuse. Suboxone is used to treat narcotic (opiate) addiction.
Suboxone treatment is very effective in blocking the cravings that opioid addicted patients have, including cravings for addiction to painkiller medications and street drugs such as heroin.
