Herbert M.
Weinman,
MD, MBA, is a family physician with over 35 years of
practice and
administrative experience. He is currently a principal and
medical
director of BCE technology, a physician education
organization that
specializes in documentation and compliance, and owns a home
health
agency.
Dr. Weinman was
formerly
Medicare medical director and vice-president of provider
services with
Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania. He also served as a
medical
director of an HMO and principal of a practice management
company, and
was in family practice in New Paltz, NY for 25 years. In
additional to
teaching in residency programs, Dr. Weinman was an instructor
in the
masters program in healthcare at Marywood University in
Scranton,
Pennsylvania.
He received his
medical
degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York,
and
graduated from Marist College with his MBA in 1993. Dr.
Weinman is
board certified in Family Practice and Quality Assurance and
Utilization Review, and is a certified healthcare compliance
officer. |

Stephen Weinman, M.D. was born in New York and raised in
New Paltz,
graduating from New Paltz High School in 1980. He graduated
from
Cornell University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree
in
Biology and in 1989 he graduated from Upstate Medical School
in
Syracuse, New York. He went on to complete his residency
training in
Family Practice in Binghamton. Since 1992 Dr. Weinman has
worked in
many emergency departments, urgent cares and family practices
around
the country and as far as Guam, in the South Pacific. Dr.
Weinman is a
certified Medical Review Officer and United States Civil
Surgeon. He also
wrote the first trail guide to the Shawangunk Mountains
surrounding
New Paltz, called "A Rock With A View," which is
still the number one
selling trail guide in the area. Dr. Weinman returned to his
hometown
of New Paltz permanently in 1998 and started FirstCare with
his family
in 2007. |

Virginia
"Ginny"
Weinman Leitner, PA-C is a registered Physician
Assistant
with 13 years emergency medicine experience. She was raised
in New
Paltz, graduating from New Paltz High School in 1984.
She earned a
Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University in 1989.
She
earned her degree as a Physician Assistant in 1994 from Long
Island
University, Brooklyn, NY, graduating second in her class. She
has
served as an Emergency Room P.A. since 1994 in Mt.
Sinai Elmhurst
Hospital in Queens, NY, St. Joseph’s Medical Center in
Yonkers, NY,
and most recently, Margaretville Medical Center in
Margaretville, NY.
Ginny happily returned to New Paltz with her husband and 2
children in
2005 and started FirstCare with her father and brother in
2007. |

Lauren Amato has over 20 years experience in the customer
service
industry. She feels that a friendly face and a hug makes
almost
anything feel at least a little bit better. Her goal in life
is to
make the world a happier place, one person at a
time.
She enjoys cooking, baking, photography and other crafts, and
spending
time with her family. Lauren is married and has two great
little girls
that she is very proud of. As a youngster, Lauren had the
desire to
work in the medical field, having had relatives close to her
in this
line of work to admire. Lauren is thrilled to spread her
wings and
finally embark on a new career choice. |

Shannon Slutzky, RT, was born and raised
in
Peekskill N.Y. After graduating from SUNY Alfred in
1998 with an
associates degree in medical assisting, she moved with her
college
sweetheart to Kingston, N.Y.
Once in Kingston she returned to school at HVCC to earn her
associates for radiologic technology. She has been employed
with The
Kingston Hospital for the past 5 years and more recently
the
Benedictine Hospital as well. Shannon lives in
Kingston with her
husband, three year old son, two year old daughter and two
crazy
dogs. |

Theresa Logan- Receptionist
Theresa comes to First Care Medical Center with great enthusiasm!
With 20 plus years of customer service experience she will greet you
with a smile and a hello that will definitely make you feel welcome!
Theresa is an "Upstate Girl" but upon graduating from SUNY New Paltz
in 1986 and meeting her husband Jeff, a native of New Paltz,
she settled down to raise a family in the Hudson Valley. Theresa
and Jeff are raising 3 awesome children; Kelsey, Maris and Hunter
and a Pug named Molly! |

Leslie Margini, RT, was born
and raised in Cornwall, NY. She has many years of customer service working
for the New York State Police for 10 years as well as owning and
operating her own retail business for 6 years. In 2005 she returned
to school at the Pascack Valley Hospital School of Radiography in New Jersey to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a
licensed radiologic technologist.
Leslie was most currently employed at
Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, NY but decided to leave to pursue a career here at
First Care. She still resides in Cornwall with her daughter Samantha and her two dogs Winnie
and Moose. |

Gene
Epstein, FNP
Nurse Practitioner
Gene was born and raised on Long Island and moved to New Paltz 10
years ago. He has been in the health care profession for 38 years as
an EMT, paramedic, trauma nurse and 12 years as a Nurse Practitioner.
Gene is currently working full time in emergency medicine at
Margartville Hospital in Margaretville, NY. He loves caring and
working for the people in his community. |

Paul D'Amico, RT
Born and raised in Hillsdale, NJ, Paul has had many jobs since coming
to join the First Care Staff. He was employed installing fire safety
systems in Dallas,TX, home renovations in Tampa, FL and LosAngeles
California. After returning from California in 2005, Paul decided to
go back to school for Radiography. He is currently employed at Scherl
Orthopedics in Englewood, NJ as well as here at First Care. He now
resides in Bergen County, NJ. |
