FirstCare Medical Center was envisioned as an acute care medical facility with hotel style customer service in the style of Ritz-Carlton, whose motto is “Ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.” The founders saw the importance of providing quality medical care in a relaxing and beautiful environment.
FirstCare was opened in 2008 after enlisting Benjamin Bragg, a local businessman, to build the facility on his property in Highland. Ben had pictured building a medical facility and was enthusiastic and very helpful in the FirstCare origins. After a year or so FirstCare opened its doors January 2, 2008. FirstCare contained the urgent care center and Essence MediSpa, a cosmetic dermatology practice, and soon opened FirstCare Family Practice. FirstCare Medical Center is a family owned and operated medical facility. Two of the founders, Dr. Stephen Weinman and Mille Weinman continue to operate FirstCare in the manner it was designed, serving the community with compassion and quality medical care.
